HP -- Picture Squee!

So, Entertainment Weekly has come out with a new issue, featuring an article about the upcoming Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix movie (eta July 13th).

Well, with that article came hi-res images from WB, including new images featuring Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood.

In the past, I have written long raves about just how perfect the casting of Evanna was (see: Evanna as Luna), and these pictures again prove that this is the best piece of book-to-movie casting EVER done.

Her hair is long and very blond...



You see those beaded radish earrings? Those were made by Evanna herself! Talk about casting a true fan!!!



And obviously, as a witch with very little contact with muggles, she has no real concept of muggle fashion... and it shows!

So, in my most humble opinion, we Harry Potter fans are honored to have in our fandom the best book-to-movie translation of a single character, even moreso than anyone in Lord of the Rings (IMHO).
